It now sounds as good as the dulux audio strap....maybe a bit better. It also solved the issues I had with tracking. I am not giving HTC a pass on this though. This is still crazy sloppy and should have been caught during testing. I can confirm the vive pro doesn't have enough power to drive those speakers.... I was able to get major improvement by connecting vive pro - sp1000 DAC - custom earbud lol
  2. wrote: Depends on what you refer to. Technically, audio is working very well so far. If not, something is wrong on your end. you're not telling the true story... first things i tested is pushed the headphone against my ears ,still no bass... also many ppl on reddit said they dont have bass tone even 100% fit their ear size... right now all we can do is turn on the bass enhancer for better audio quality.... btw I A/B tested Vive Pro and DAS many many times , 100% sure the Bass tone on Pro have serious problem ...
  3. the msg got deleted by admin/mod suddenly reappeared ^^ i have it on video I didnt double post or spam on vive forum and my post disappear in under 5mins... thats why i repost my msg and have it recorded on video and screenshotted... so the pr guy / fanboy cant framed me for breaking the rules ^^
  4. wrote: Count me among the many who are extremely disappointed with the audio for the Vive Pro. There has been no software fix and HTC has gone radio silent. I have to assume at this point that HTC either doesn't know or doesn't care about the problem, or it's a hardware issue. admin / mod deleted my post again... screenshotted and on video The built in headphones have no bass at all, despite what people have "claimed" they fixed it. (Vive Pro Audio Worse than DAS...) This is what I believe to be an hardware issue. The so called "Build in amp" in this product is basically false advertising. Even an $500 phone will sound better than this. This type of customer support is unacceptable for a product of this price and requirement. 7. ibrantNebula From: VibrantNebula yesterday 3.5mm Adapter Which adapter are you using? We're officially recommending this adapter: store.google.com/us/product/usb_c_headphone_adapter?hl=en-US USB-C to 3.5mm adapter connected to Vive OG earphone / JH Roxxanne / 64 fourte ---- no sound at all..... The USB C port does not work for audio, when I plugged my headphones in it does not even have power. BTW, I tested the same USB-C to 3.5mm works on phones (Pixel 2 XL) but not on the Vive Pro...
  8. wrote: I have not even been contact 1:1 as this post promised to ask me about my system specs or audio card/drivers. I'm guessing this is because they know EXACTLY what the problem is already, and they don't have a fix. me2 no 1:1
  9. USB-C to 3.5mm adapter connected to Vive OG earphone ---- there is no sound.....
  10. wrote: Valve has released their audio quality update into the release branch for SteamVR Thank you, -John C From Reddit Robert9674: This was the update they released in steamVR beta. They just released it to the official steamVR build. It didn’t fix the sound in beta so I’m not sure why they are releasing it to the official build. I guess they want to make it seem they are fixing something.
  11. wrote: Quick update: We are still investing reports of poor audio quality and are thankful to everybody who was able to provide system logs. I will reach out to users who posted in this thread over the weekend on a 1:1 basis in case they would also like to submit System Reports for inspection - they are very helpful in determining software and hardware compatibilities that require further attention. The update published to the beta branch is still under evaluation and may not be representative of whichever update ultimately is pushed to the public branch. It is not an EQ based patch. HTC by far the worst customer support experience I have ever had in my life... I would prefer a full refund...
  12. wrote: Well I seemed to have somehow fixed the volume issue. I'm guessing what did it was turning on Loudness Equalization in the Windows Playback settings for the device. My guess is that this is overriding some volume attenuation occuring at the system level with the drivers for the device. I can't speak to the quality, but it does seem to be about the same as my DAS headphones now. It's really sad that I've managed to figure out a possible fix just from tinkering, but that the engineers from HTC haven't managed to figure out recommended solutions yet. Help This Company... Hell The Customers... IPD knob on my Pro headset spins pretty freely...
