  1. And how can i start steam vr with out steam home.. To test if it is really steam homes.
  2. Hey Vibrant .. Thanks for the insight. It is strange indeed. Is the Taskmanager screenshot showing the gpus memory ? Or what does the percentage mean. I use VRFps to show me the exact memory my gpu is using.. Processor is chilling at 20% but because of gpu i get very bad performance.
  3. Hi Guys I have unaturally bad performance for my System in VR. When im starting up steam VR my GPU shows fpsVr that my gpu is using 9 of 11 GB Memory. That couldnt be right, could it? Im not running anything except for steamvr Home, fpsVR and vive wirless. Here are my System Specs: Windows 10 Pro Rox Maximum X Hero (Wifi AC) 32 GB Ram i7 -8700K CPU @3.70 GHZ 12 Cpus Asus ROG Strix GeForce GTX1080Ti-11GB Gaming Grafikkarte Geforce GTX 1080 TI https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B06XSB4NW2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 @VibrantNebula @jagibson
  4. I have noticed now that my one basestation is making noises like this when im moving it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H1Udiax9Gmk Is this a sign that it is broken or is it normal. Can i get a single replacement?
  5. " It's a little complex and I'm not a GPU expert by any means. In terms of the 2D output window, that's something the developer would need to disable in their build to kill it fully. My understanding is that if the window is minimized, there still may be additional drawcalls and processing that's occurring on the GPU but since the pixels on the monitor aren't updating, it can recycle pixel updates from the framebuffer instead of rendering new pixels. I'll see if I can do some hunting around on this - " Ok so it is not a setting i have missed. I don´t need it and i dont know why it is there. So i would gladly disable it if it helps with performance. But maybe it is needed for the Program?
  6. Wow Vibrant.. can i give you a virtual hug. That was one of the best thought trough answers i received in my whole internet life .. Thank you for that.. I wished companys would answer this way. One Question though... So the window of the game (that you playing on vive) on the monitor is optional? Why is nobody saying that? I thought it is just the way it is? And where can i deactivate it? And would you know a quick way to do all the 3 steps. with one click? 1 Start Vive wirless 2. Start Steam VR 3. Deactivate Second Screen Thank you in advance...
  7. "If you're wanting to play games, then never user motherboard graphic adaptor if you have a decent graphics card." But what about the second monitor? i only play games on the first one" "Running two monitors AS WELL as VR will cause performance issues. Do you need two monitors activated while in VR?" Is that so? I nether heard about that.. But what do you do.. Always climb under your desk and unplug the second monitor if you want to play VR?
  8. I have a lost of tracking issues with my controllers when im facing towards my b Basesation.. especially when i have the hands down at my legs... I took a picture of the basesations c has too more green lights on.. Could b be faulty? @Synthesis
  9. Hi I have an Asus Maximum Gamer Motherboard and 1080 Ti Card . The thing is my gpu has only two Display Ports and two hdmi ports. My Motherboard has another Display Port. What would be the best way without hurting my performance for vr and non vr gaming? For example : Vive Pro and Main Monitor in GPU Second Monitor in Displayport on motherboard or Vive Pro and Main Monitor in Gpu Second Monitor in GPU via HDMI For Monitors ( dedicated HDMI cable ? Or Display to hdmi converter ? Thank you for your advice...
  10. Wow.. could be the solution to my problem.. i was fiddling arround for hours. Sometimes my wirless works , sometimes not . I have greyed out screen a lot of times.. Also a unrecognized usb device in hardware manager.. ordering a new cable .. Lets see @jagibson
  11. Hi So this is what happens for me all of the time. I start up vive wireless , windows makes it sounds for usb drives connecting and then i start steam vr... Most of the time the headset is then disconnected and i can start the cycle again and again. When i look in my device manager i see that there is always a "device not recognized"- failed to reset port. Maybe that can lead to the solution. Sometimes it just works and i dont know why. I have allready switched usb ports with no results. Thank you for your help
  12. Like i sayed shady bussines.. As you fully aware of not only people with ryzen systems have issues.. I myself had issues i had to buy a whole new system to get it to work even though i far exceeded the minimum specs with the old one.. You see many people even on this thread with issues not regarding Ryzen.. You messed up. So at least take responsibitlity for it.. But glad that you showed how little you care about your customer.. as soon as there is better solution i will say goodbye to you ..
  13. Wow -- that is shady.. they can´t make their product work but dont want to refund it? What are they saying?
  14. Are you guys kidding me? My Wireless was running fine after i upgraded my whole system.. Now installed the latest steamvr.. and i cant play a Single Game!!!! Everything is super pixelated.. how can i roll back to the older version? And what happend Seriously how can a company f** something up so bad.. I hope a good alternative is coming out soon.. I getting to despise HTC for all the Trouble they bing me and other consumers.. We pay the most of all VR Users and yet we get half ready products and software at our door.. Unbeliveable ...
