  1. Can anyone tell me how to actually quit from the Vive software? Pressing the top right 'X' sort of 'quits' but actually just puts it into a minimised state in the notification area on the taskbar. I then have to go there, right click on the icon and select quit. There must be an easier way! Also, can anyone tell me how to make the Vive software release the sound device back to system default after quitting. It remains on Vive Multimedia until I switch off the Vive Pro 2 link box. Been like this forever, but I'm becoming a bit tired of having to go through all these unnecessary steps. Thanks in advance.
  2. Ever since I upgraded my 3090 to a 4090, I cannot run VR on my VP2 if MSI Afterburner is running as I just get continual '210: Compositor was disconnected' errors in Vive Console. The only way I can now run VR is to exit from MSI AB. So, I am not able to load my GPU profiles. Any thoughts on resolving this?
  3. I would like to know how to stop Vive Console taking control of my PC audio. If I switch on the Vive Pro 2 at the link box, the audio switches to it when I don't want it to! This is without even running Vive Console. If I load VC and SteamVR, play for a while, then quit. audio control is still with the VP2, and I have to switch off at the link box to get it back. This can't be right, surely?
  4. Haha! I spoke too soon. After posting, I reran SteamVR and Vive Console and go the crash on exit. I have submitted a report via Console as per attached.
  5. Will do, however, I forgot that since the update to SteamVR to beta 1.21.8 a day or two ago, I have not had the problem. Forgot about that, sorry! I'll keep monitoring as I did have the issue for some months. As an aside, why is the Steam version of Vive Console showing 2.1.20.1 compared to the standalone which is 2.0.20.1?
  6. I get the same. Doesn't matter whether I close SteamVR or Vive Console first, always the same result, i.e. SteamVR has crashed message. I have a VP2, and it doesn't matter what game I've been playing, the result is the same.
  7. Motion Compensation is improved, but at a great cost in frame times in DCS. 2-3ms!
  8. Been asked here a trillion times with no response whatsoever.
  9. After having owned many VR headsets, I have to say that this Motion Compensation from Vive is the worst of that type I have seen. Horrible visual artefacts when switched on, and horrible jerking cockpit dials when moving - not turning - head from left to right dials when off. Please give us access to SteamVR Motion Smoothing very soon.
  10. It really is hard to understand why we pay a lot of money for this kit, and the audio quality is so poor on the High Def devcie. I mean, it should be fixable very easily, as applying an equaliser setting to boost bass works well, except that it can't be applied at bootup as the device is not present until SteamVR is running.
  11. Add me to the list of very unhappy people. Got the Vive Pro today, and appalled by the audio quality compared to the Oculus Rift. No bass at all!
