  1. I took the unit apart and found that the spinning motors are working fine but one of the lasers is not working. I'll do some further testing to see if it's a simple power issue or if there's more to the problem.
  2. Thanks. I'll give that a try. I also found a Youtube video that showed how to disassemble the unit and check the two power connectors to make sure they haven't come loose. I'm open to any other suggestions at the hardware level and will report back with news soon.
  3. I've got a dead base station with error code 10009 and my warranty is over. I don't like throwing things away that can be fixed. Having Vive repair the unit costs about the same as buying a new one. I wouldn't mind trying to fix it myself if it's possible before it ends up in a landfill. Has anyone ever done this? I'm pretty handy with a soldering station.
