i have the same problem although i cannot find a fix

in steam vr it says that my headset is disconnected with the error code 208 I have checked all cables and they all seem to be working, updated all my drivers, unplugged and replugged all the cables, and when I click reset headset it restarts steam VR says it is "connected" to the HTC Vive and then shortly after it just comes up with this tab again, I have looked all over the internet for a fix but no one seems to have this exact problem, it was working perfectly the day before then it just suddenly started doing this. also, windows cannot detect it as a display although it still sees it as a device.
