  1. I'm the same, its as if the shitty vive software is breaking Steam VR. I always thought waiting long enough there would be a fix for this headset but there isn't a fix in sight and never will be! I'll never buy something on pre order again and I'll never buy HTshit, I mean HTC again...
  2. Had a quick shot and I have to say the tracking does seem better (playing Blade & Sorcery).
  3. I'm still pondering sending mine back as faulty within the 1 year warranty (not fit for purpose). If HTC don't make some big improvements to the tracking within the next couple of months that's what I'll will be doing
  4. We haven't seen anymore updates but HTC have the resources available to announce multiple variants of the Cosmos.... https://www.theverge.com/2020/2/20/21145156/htc-vive-cosmos-series-announced-elite-play-xr-faceplates
  5. Yeh as I said earlier, the falling through the game is a separate issue to the grey screen. I can live with an occasional grey screen as the game is still playable , the falling into narnia issue ruins vr for me....
  6. Have you tried replicating a grey screen by covering the wireless prongs?
  7. I think the aiming the issue towards the USB cable is leading the devs down the wrong path and this post isn't about grey screens its about getting thrown out the games in question. You can replicate a grey screen by covering the prongs (for a better word!) on the wireless with your hands so grey screens happen when the wireless and the receiver cant see each other. The issue is tracking and the games with the issue misinterpreting the data the wireless is sending (IMO).
  8. @stvnxu I've had the issue in 2 different houses and 3 different rooms so I don't think it's room that's the issue. I do think it's tracking related though..
  9. Yes I agree it would be nice to hear from HTC on this issue. @VibrantNebula any update?
  10. I have a fan on mine and it keeps the temps down to around 50 but still have the issue. Also as joellipenta said it happens with both the HTC and third party batteries. @Synthesis
  11. I tested boneworks again and had a similar crash but to a black screen. I don't think its CPU/GPU related but possibly something to do with wireless and the way some games are coded. Is there anyone with the wireless that hasn't had any issues with Boneworks or B& S?
  12. @TomCgcmfc I had an Intel i7 6700k with AMD rx580 GPU and upgraded to AMD R5 3600 with nvidia 2060 super GPU so quite a big change hardware/make wise and the void issue described was present on both systems and in the same games. Never had it in Superhot or Thrill of the Fight for example. I will do some more testing over the weekend to see if the issue returns. @C.T.
  13. I have the same issue in Boneworks and Blade & Sorcery and I have the wireless kit too. Boneworks was unplayable for me so I got a refund. I have reinstalled Windows and all the Vive software in the past day and haven't seen anymore crashes with Blade & Sorcery but its early days, I will post if it happens again.
  14. I have the 10000 and it lasts around 1.5 hours, similar to the HTC for me. Not tried the 20000 but it will work and should last potentially double that with the bigger sized battery.
  15. Anker do a QC 3.0 battery in both 10000 and 20000. I can confirm this works with the cosmos
