  1. Seems to have fixed itself! But once again, i would love to send a big thanks to the VIVE reps on their own forum who chose to not help someone with a problem. They are VERY keen to throw tweets out left right and centre on new products, but help current customers...nahhhh!
  2. I'm use to having issues using my VIVE Pro2, but this one seems to be unfixable and i dont seem to be able to find a solution online. Today i turned my headset on to discover coloured vertical lines in the left lens. I always turn the headset off correctly and it was fine last time i have used it in about 4 days. Does anyone know of a solution to fix this at all? Any help appreciated guys.
  3. My advice to everyone here is to start looking at other companies headsets, such as Big Screen Beyond, Quest 3 or Pimax Crystal, and start saving. HTC are not getting any better or fixing bugs with their headsets, so its a waste of time expecting it to happen. If you are going to spend the cash purchasing high end GPUs and PC setups, then its pointless pairing it with a buggy and broken companies headset.
  4. Exactly why i went along and pre-ordered the Big Screen Beyond headset. After their lack of help HERE on an official forum and no change to the issue, i lost all faith in them. I actually now hope HTC Vive dies over the next year or two and cease to exist. Thats how much the have pissed me off. The worst customer service i have ever dealt with...if they even HAVE customer service!
  5. Well having owned the OG Vive and now a Pro 2, it has convinced me to NOT stick with any HTC products in the future. Their customer service is dreadful and like talking to a spambot with no help whatsoever. I did have the upcoming Pimax crystal pre-ordered thinking thats where i'll go, until i saw the Bigscreen Beyond VR headset being released later in the year. This is exactly what i've been waiting for, a headset MADE for your exact face and vision specs. The best part is that it will use my current lighthouse set up and Index controllers. I'll keep the Pro2 for 'guests'.
  6. I have pretty much same set up as Jackrip, however stuck to Win10. I found after rolling back Vive console to 2.1.21.4 that it fixed the screen tearing and was okay at 90hz for most games for me. Im using a Pro 2 headset. But either way, HTC/Vive have done NOTHING to fix the ongoing issue!
  7. Can confirm that rolling back Vive console to the 2.1.21.4 version fixes the screen tearing in Extreme 120hz setting. But there are still issues with various games such as HL Alyx, Pistol whip where textures are missing unless you dial down to 90hz. Im using Pro 2 with a 4090.
  8. The worst part is the generic responses from HTC via email, asking me to repeat the basic steps of 'have i tried: unplugging all leads, reinstalling Vive console etc'. We know what the issue is, its that the VIVE console cant handle higher settings with a 4090. They KNOW exactly what the issue is and say they are looking at it, but if that were true we would have had a solution by now. The whole point of owning a Pro2 is for the higher resolution and frame rate, so if this is where the problem is, just fix it instead of stalling us all with lies.
  9. Maybe check out the Pimax Crystal? Its a bit big still for my liking, but the specks look great.
  10. Also getting missing textures on Vive console higher setting with 4090 and Pro 2
  11. I too have the pink/grey box issue with Alyx, only since i got my 4090. Other games also bug-out if the console is set too high, like pistol whip which has missing textures such as THE ACTUAL PISTOLS!!! I've written to vive and sent my log files using the 'report an issue' tab through VIVE console, which i encourage all 4090 users do.
