kusomaigo Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Hello, what can be done to force a software update? Pressing the "Check for Update" button in the system UI says that the software is up to date, except it's not (the system is running the previous software release 5.0.999.558).
kusomaigo Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Update: I have now learned you can get this Software update after joining the beta. It was not clear that this software update was under beta.

Tausendberg Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 I think this might be a slight bug but I found that I wasn't able to use the USB C port on the side of the headset to charge my controllers until after I turned on usb compatibility mode. I didn't need to do that before this update.
Tausendberg Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 Wait, there is definitely a bug with the usb charging now, I don't think it's related to compatibility mode. It used to be that I could turn on the focus 3, put it off to one side with the controllers connected via the y charging cable, and then walk away, the focus 3 would keep charging even when it went into 'sleep mode' (no display or sound, just the white indicator light on the front slowly going on and off) I just looked at it and now when it goes into sleep mode, the controllers stop getting charged.
taa11 Posted September 14, 2022 Posted September 14, 2022 I have followed the open xr beta for getting my vive focus 3 running with open xr. I have downloaded the sample project from the github repository. It opens fine. I check the package manager and project settings according to the setup tutorial. When I enter play mode, I have a blank scene with the white ground plane and off white sky. How do I get the hand controllers and interaction into the scene?
taa11 Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 After updating my vive focus 3 sets to 5.0.999.624, they no longer work to charge the handsets while in sleep mode, using the y cable. I have to leave the headset on and plugged in, then it will charge, but only until it sleeps.
