HTC Vive Pro Eye Calibration Important Questions/Concerns

Hi Everyone!
 
This question is related to HTC Pro Eye in Unity, I had a few questions that I am hoping you someone can help me shed light on. We cra customized calibration to test how closely accurate is the eye-tracking data. We mapped the data before running HTC Vive's calibration and after running HTC Vive's calibration, and we came to notice the data looks more accurate after the HTC Vive calibration procedure, in the sense wherever a fixation/stimulus was presented the eye-tracking data matched it very well. 
 
It brought up the following questions: 
  1. After HTC calibration is done, are there changes done at the back end to account for the verticle adjustment, ipd, and 5-point stimulus test. 
  2. Can HTC Vive calibration run without a base station.
