Vive Pro 2 right eye lagging, trying to reset device with vive console but it doesn't do anything

I am running on a 3090 and having the same issue as a few other posters here in that the right eye in my vive pro 2 is visibly lagging behind the left after I updated to the latest firmware this morning. To try to resolve this I went into the console troubleshooting section and hit "reset headset and settings" and every time I try to do that it closes the vive console and opens up a progress bar that never does more than just "preparing" forever. How can I force reset the firmware on my vive pro 2 without using the vive console?
