Unity Direct Preview breaks with native android objects

When running in Vive Direct Preview, Unity logs give me a DllNotFoundException for my .so files that my game imports. Unity works fine when I package everything into an .apk and run it natively. It seems that when I try to run in direct preview, Unity doesn't know what to do with these android libs. 

My build is longer than a minute, so any suggestions for how I could use this feature would be appreciated.
