How to actually quit from Vive Software and get it to release the VP2 from being sound device after exit?

Can anyone tell me how to actually quit from the Vive software? Pressing the top right 'X' sort of 'quits' but actually just puts it into a minimised state in the notification area on the taskbar. I then have to go there, right click on the icon and select quit.  There must be an easier way!

Also, can anyone tell me how to make the Vive software release the sound device back to system default after quitting.  It remains on Vive Multimedia until I switch off the Vive Pro 2 link box.

Been like this forever, but I'm becoming a bit tired of having to go through all these unnecessary steps.
