I sent an email over as well but:

"Just a heads up, not sure if it takes some time for the change to hit the account but on my headset, it says my software is already up to date on 1.0.999.250. When i go to Advanced -> Beta Features -> Join it says I'm unable to join the beta."

I'll have teams to check your status first thing in the morning TPE time. Sorry about the delay.

I'll add one additional piece of feedback, I got everything up and running but it does ask me to downgrade my software while on the beta version, so when I'm choosing to shutdown the headset I have to be extra careful not to select 'update and shutdown' to go back to the standard non-beta version. It also asks you to update to the non beta version upon completion of the first OS install too. So if you're not careful you might immediately downgrade upon installing the beta.

Outside of that pretty good after one session so far. Have not tried the depth sensor yet but also not sure how it where I could test that best.

If you would look into the Settings -> Boundary -> Mixed Reality, where you can scan your room to set MR objects.

I have two questions:

1. After scanning my room, the headset says it is fine-tuning the mesh, but it takes forever and I need to press "skip" every time. Is this normal?

2. How can I actually make use of the room scan and MR objects to have MR experiences in other apps and games?

Thanks.

@Yabu

Also spotted that the downgrade to public notice is a bit annoying, let me check with teams how to resolve that.

@Wilson So

1 is not normal, can you get a screen recording for me?
2. please refer to below tutorial on how to make a use out of the scene mesh and MR objects

I can confirm what Wilson was seeing as well. I only tried it once and will try again tomorrow, but I scanned my room to make a mesh our of it and left it at the next screen for 'fine tuning the mesh'. I covered the sensor near the diopters as I got tired of waiting after 5 mins. It continued to fine tune for all 2 hours before running out of battery power, it never completed.

So there I think there is something off happening during that fine tuning piece, I'll try to capture a video of it if i run into the same issue on the next attempt.
