Ants in my eyes Johnson
I have installed the Vive setup repeatedly and every time I try to launch it, it says "Trouble connecting to HTC account, please try again. If problem continues reinstall Vive" which I have. And it never asks me to sign in, I've tried to on the website then launch it and still nothing. Synthesis
Make sure you don't have anti-virus software blocking the Vive software. Does steam work okay? You said you tried to log in via the website as well but that didn't work? Thanks, -John C
Ants in my eyes Johnson
Steam works fine and I can play games fine but everything I open the app it says log in. I have logged in to the website just fine and used by redeem code for the month subscription. Same account as I am posting with. I just want to play my viveport games. Synthesis
Did you install the Viveport software as an administrator? And just to be sure, you do or don't have Anti-virus software on the computer? Thanks, -John C
Ants in my eyes Johnson
Yes, and have tried running the app as administrator. And no virus protection.
Synthesis
Make sure when you uninstall everything to reinstall that you remove all five pieces of the software.Have you tested the software on any other computers or just this one? If you can log in via the website or the app, your account should be fine. Something is preventing it from connecting to the server, so we need to isolate that. Can you tell me more about your software and set up? Do you have built-in firewalls (corporate or personal) or anything like that? Any VPNs or other network utilities that you use on the PC? Thanks, -John C
Ants in my eyes Johnson
The computer is brand new from CyberpowerPC. It's the only computer I have and I don't have any software installed besides Vive and steam and I don't have any VPN's. I am able to log in fine on website and app. But still won't let me open desktop app. Still says Trouble connecting to HTC account. It never asked me to sign in during install setup either.
