VIVE_chengnay Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Hi @Detto_UL, Did it work before updating VIVE Hub? Or this is the first time you try to get pupil values?
Detto_UL Posted November 18 Posted November 18 (edited) Let me resume it a little : I updated the OpenXR plugin last Wednesday to get eye tracking values on the Vive XR Elite V1.0.999.702 on PCVR. I worked well, except for the pupil size that gives me a consistant value of 5,56413(left) 5,693145 (right) for the whole application lifetime, even when I recalibrate the eye tracker, or even when I'm trying on another day. Today, I updated to the Vive Hub v2.1.7a and Vive streaming v2.0.12, from (probably) the public version from before. I had a XR_SESSION_LOST error, which was fixed by registering again OpenXR extensions. However, I still get the same constant pupil values, even though the SDK tells me that the values are valid (which I believe is pretty unlikely, like there should be at least variations due to noise or something), while other data such as gaze are correct. Hope it's clearer. Edited November 18 by Detto_UL
VIVE_chengnay Posted November 18 Posted November 18 Hi @Detto_UL, This issue was previously reported by other developer too. It will be fixed by next ROM release(either end of Nov or beginning of Dec). I will keep you updated when the exact date is confirmed. 2
Zhengtai Gou Posted November 19 Posted November 19 Hi @VIVE_chengnay, I have also encountered session_lost error, and our lab is eagerly looking forward to the rom update. Also, since we're urgently needing the pupil data, I tried to use the Wave sdk instead. It turns out that I can log pretty much everything else except for pupil size, which returns a fixed value continuously. Is this a known issue for now? If not, what information can I provide to identify how to fix this? I tried re-calibration which didn't work. Many thanks. Also, thanks @Detto_UL very much for sharing your case!!
VIVE_chengnay Posted November 19 Posted November 19 Hi @Zhengtai Gou, Pupil size returns fixed value should be the same issue as Detto_UL reported. Please wait for ROM release. 1
Zhengtai Gou Posted December 4 Posted December 4 Hi @VIVE_chengnay may I ask if there's any update on the Rom release? Thanks
Tony PH Lin Posted December 5 Posted December 5 Hi Sir, We're going to have both ROM Release for XR Elite and Focus Vision on 12/6 to support more completed eye features along with OpenXR 2.5.0. Thanks. 1
