VIVE_chengnay Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Hi @Andreasmeow, 18 minutes ago, Andreasmeow said: However the person on Reddit had the Limited Edition version of the Arc 770 The Arc 770 I got is also Limited Edition 🙂
Andreasmeow Posted June 21 Author Posted June 21 Oh okay nice! Just do let me know how the results go please! Also sorry to add another driver to the mix, but do you think you could also try out the 3802 driver from intel? Just to see if that one works aswell since HTC gave intel arc support for the Vive Pro 2 for only that driver. I do hope you are also using DDU for switching between different drivers aswell. Get back to me whenever you can ❤️

Do you mean try 3802 with Vive Pro 1 or 2?
Andreasmeow Posted June 22 Author Posted June 22 2 hours ago, VIVE_chengnay said: Could you explain what is DDU? Okay will try to make this brief. It's basically like a fullproof way to make sure you've gotten rid of the previous driver, that way there are no conflicts when switching to other driver versions. The people in the official Intel server strongly recommend people do this with their Arc gpus, you don't need to really do this so much with AMD Radeon GPUS, nor with Nvidia GPUS(unless switching between different graphics cards brands, amd, nvidia, intel.) But it's sorta technical however. It requires you boot the computer in Safe Mode and use the software(DDU) when in that mode, then when you've restarted and logged back in normally, you have to make sure the drivers you're going to test is already downloaded, as you want to be disconnected from the internet, otherwise Microsoft will automatically put in 2022 drivers and you'd have to restart the whole process.. and also. DDU= Display Driver Uninstaller Here is the official link for the software: https://www.guru3d.com/download/display-driver-uninstaller-download/ 2 hours ago, VIVE_chengnay said: Do you mean try 3802 with Vive Pro 1 or 2? VIve Pro 1. I know HTC said it was for the Vive Pro 2 but it doesn't hurt to tinker and see what works. Very sorry for the late response.. if you have any more questions I should be up and ready to reply to anything else you may throw at me. Thank you once again.
Andreasmeow Posted June 22 Author Posted June 22 Just waiting for my message to be approved to answer your questions.
Andreasmeow Posted June 23 Author Posted June 23 Oh also, I keep forgetting to ask but what operating system are you doing the testing on? Windows 10 or 11? and Are you using 2.0 Basestations or the 1.0's
VIVE_chengnay Posted June 24 Posted June 24 Hi @Andreasmeow, I will be using Windows 10 and base station 2.0.
Andreasmeow Posted June 24 Author Posted June 24 Alr good to know, thank you. I think I can leave you be with the testing now right? all the drivers I mentioned I'd like to have tested should have all been said within this forum. Please let me know of the results when you are finished!
VIVE_chengnay Posted July 2 Posted July 2 Hi @Andreasmeow, After switching to Arc 770, it will not boot to Windows. We are still finding the root cause.
