Hi Vive team,

I'm planning to use the Vive tracking system in a location where I don't have access to power sockets for the base stations hence making it infeasible to use HTC adapter. Would using power banks be a viable alternative in this situation?

The HTC Vive adapter shows an output wattage of 30W (12V, 2.5A). Would it be practical to use a power bank with similar specifications to resolve this issue?

Thanks

Hi @pavan,

I don't think powerbank can replace the AC adapter where the USB port will not input 30W, it can only be charged through the AC port from the back of the HMD.
