pavan Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Hi Vive team, I'm planning to use the Vive tracking system in a location where I don't have access to power sockets for the base stations hence making it infeasible to use HTC adapter. Would using power banks be a viable alternative in this situation? The HTC Vive adapter shows an output wattage of 30W (12V, 2.5A). Would it be practical to use a power bank with similar specifications to resolve this issue? https://www.vive.com/uk/accessory/vive-focus3-ac-adapter-30w/ Thanks
VIVE_chengnay Posted August 16 Posted August 16 Hi @pavan, I don't think powerbank can replace the AC adapter where the USB port will not input 30W, it can only be charged through the AC port from the back of the HMD. Here is another topic related to your question.
