Hey,

I filed a ticket [50601082] but I want to see what other people's experiences are as so far, in the limited posts here, I've read USB streaming seems to work while wireless is broken, and DP drops out. I am still waiting for my DP kit from the pre-order but I decided to try WiFi streaming and boy did that not work, which people seem to be in agreement about. I then tried a few USB3 cables to see if that was better, the only cable I know the name of was an Anker, Powerline USB 3.0 to USB C Charger Cable (10ft) because I bought it back in 2020 for Quest 1 PVCR. USB was better, I have only tried beatsaber so far, but I could not get through two sings without it totally freezing for ~2min and then kicking me back to menus. The VIVE hub showed one red bar for the USB's signal strength (?) and a red error about missing frames. One weird thing about both the WiFi and USB freezes is I can see all my inputs getting to the PC, just the headset isn't getting video back but the game on the monitor is playable.

I should get my DP kit Monday and hopefully that works otherwise I'm not sure what to do with this thing.

Update - I switched to the Vive Hube beta releases and things are going much better for me. Wireless streaming is 100000x better, few stutters, but nothing like it was yesterday. USB mode isn't locking up either, so things are looking up.

Hi,

I recive DP kit with the visor but made a test with wifi and for me works pretty well. I had the pc connected via Rj45 cable to the router and the visor connected to the router via wifi at 5ghz. I don't have any issue.

I had problem connecting the DP kit because for some reason for the first 3 days works only via Usb streaming (for me worst than wifi) and without made nothing different yesterday start DP streaming.

Reading you resolving almost all your problem with the beta release of the vivehub i suppose the software isn't 100% optimized yet. Hope for a new release of vivehub.

I do think the software is just very buggy. I have been talking to HTC support and they said to run `C:\Program Files\VIVE Hub\VIVE Hub\VHConsole\Tools\ConverterFWTool\` with the headset connected to "help with streaming issues". I don't know what the Converter here is, maybe the thing for the display port kit, but I tried it and it said to try again later so they had to escalate that to the next tier of support.

HTC support told me "You may also try to unplug or disable one of the monitors from the GPU. If this doesn't help, check if the resolution is too high. From our experience, a Samsung G7 or G9 monitor alone can exceed the limit." I don't really know what to make of that, when I stream games, they open in a window not full screen on the monitor. The headset should be treated as its own monitor if using display port too. I do have a 49" G9 Odyssey OLED, but I really don't want to mess with settings every time I want to use the headset.
