Constant Power - Charging the headset with AC adapter, or USB-C?

The AC adapter that came with the headset is very short but I have managed to keep constant power using an extension cord. I do not have the Vive Wired Streaming Kit, and stream wirelessly. This got me to thinking - could I plug a USB-C cable into the USB-C port on the headset, and run the cable to a 30W or 45W PD adapter instead of using the included AC adapter to maintain constant power to the headset?
