Matti
Computer store is gathering parts and assembling a new PC for me to use with Vive. I still need to choose headset for it. Salesman has recommended me HyperX Cloud II which includes 7.1 surround sound. But surround sound works only when phones are connected to USB port and connection to Vive provides only stereo sound. If I want to use 7.1 surround sound, that would leave a cable to trip over even when adding TPCast to Vive. So which headphones would be my best bet for wireless surround sound with Vive & TPCast? Or does 5.1/7.1 surround even matter for Vive & games?
Synthesis
There is an extra USB port in the headset you can use for USB headphones, but I think TPCast ends up using it. You can't really get 7.1 sound without 7 actual speakers, so what those headphones are doing is simulating it. You may just have to choose (or you can try some sort of wireless solution for the headphones too) between them. Thanks, -John C
