Synthesis
I couldn't find a specific option for it, but probably just uninstalling and reinstalling would work. Thanks, -John C
nobackup
yeah i've tried that several times already. I'll try to isolate it and report back.
nobackup
....and nothing. No change when isolating the headset from wireless signals. At this point I'm considering getting a refund, I can't find any reason why the performance should be this poor.
nobackup
just for fun i re-ran the steam vr performance test. 10.2, very high. 0 frames below 90 fps. I guess it doesn't test actual VR performance though.
HackPerception
, I thought of a possible factor that hasn't been explained elsewhere. Which Window's update are you on? Fall creator's update seems to have brought this issue to the surface for many Nvidia users. There was an issue surrounding DPC latency that was confirmed by Nvidia a few months ago; this could be related. How old are the drivers you're reverting too? https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/941579/geforce-1000-series/gtx-1080-high-dpc-latency-and-stuttering/
nobackup
I'm on version 1709, OS build 16299.64 currently running nvidia 388.00 on a 1080gtx. (I've tried probably 15 drivers at this point, including the latest)

Synthesis
I'm very glad that worked!Makes me wonder what was there that was causing the problem. I hate to resort to a total OS reinstall, but if that's what it takes.. Thank you, -John C
