JustinVive Posted January 11, 2018 Posted January 11, 2018 As we get closer to the Focus launch in China on January 24, 2018, it's time to get publishing. You can upload your apks and marketing materials to Viveport M by using this quick start guide. To be included in day 1 launch, please have your app submitted by January 17. This gives our team time to QA and to give you time for a quick round of feedback. Viveport Developer Console Quick Start Guide How to Publish Your App on the Viveport M Store 1.) Go to https://developer.vive.com/us/ 2.) Click on the Developer Button. 3.) Sign In. (If you are not registered, then you need to get a HTC Sense account. If you sign in on a developer page, then you will be able to access the Developer Forums as well). 4.) If you don’t have an account - Go to Become a Developer https://developer.viveport.com/console/ 5.) While signed in with your Developer Account, you can begin publishing to Viveport. Start by clicking the ADD NEW TITLE button. 6.) In the Create new submission section - Select MOBILE in the HOME/ARCADE box. 7.) Name your title and Read and agree to the Viveport Platform Agreement by ticking the check box. 8.) Now you are ready to go through the Viveport submission process. (Note: For Runtime, Choose Wave, not Wave Link). 9.) Refer to the Developer Guide at https://developer.viveport.com/documents/developer-guide for an overview of the Developer Console Submission Process and Explanations of each section. NOTE: For Distribution Region - you can select all of the regions where you may one day sell your Wave app (not just in China). Let your Vive contact know if you need pricing recommendations, content guidance, or have any questions.
Livio Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 After we get published on the store, is there a public URL that points to our store listing? Something that we can point users to even if they're not currently wearing the Vive Focus headset?
JustinVive Posted May 5, 2018 Author Posted May 5, 2018 You must access Viveport M from within the Focus or other Viveport M partner headsets. There is not any public URL.
_Alex Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Link to Developer Guide should probably be https://developer.viveport.com/documents/developer-guide.pdf
playspiritgames Posted April 29, 2019 Posted April 29, 2019 NOTE: For Distribution Region - you can select all of the regions where you may one day sell your Wave app (not just in China). Does this mean there is only one single build that's shared for all regions? The reason I asked is because we would like to provide a single build with UI in Chinese language, purposely made for China market.
brendan_polyarc Posted June 13, 2019 Posted June 13, 2019 Is there a way to publish .obb files along side the .apk? Our game is over the 50MB limit for an .apk so most of our games content is stored in an Android expansion file (.obb), which is 2.6GB in size. UnrealEngine does the generation of the .apk and .obb as part of the app packaging process. Near as I can tell on the APK submission page you can only upload an .apk, but not the associated .obb file.
Tony PH Lin Posted June 14, 2019 Posted June 14, 2019 Hi , Could you help to take a look for this? Thanks.
Albert H. Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Hi Team! I’m with developer support and as of today, unfortunately, we do not have this feature yet. I’m highly optimistic our team will bring this to fruition soon! Thank you for your patience in this and we look forward to having your titles on Viveport.
adrianmeyerart Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 Hi, thumbs up for this. I think it's pretty crucial to be able to shop apps larger than 150mb or so. What is the exact .apk limit?
Corvus Posted January 21, 2021 Posted January 21, 2021 @adrianmeyerart Viveport does not support .OBB expansion files yet but there is no .APK file size limit. The DRM wrapper can only support up to 50GB files but games can use the SDK DRM option if that is an issue.
