Vive desktop app "couldn't download vive softweare"

So, i was trying to download the app and try out the application i downloaded, but everytime i run the installer it just say "couldn't download vive softweare" and nothing. Thanks for the help!

 can you share a screenshot of what you're seeing? It could be a temporary glitch but if you're seeing it a lot, I want to make sure we're on the same page.

Hi , we've escalated this but I wanted to check in - have you had any luck installing?

 

We're trying to ascertain whether this is an issue with our CDN, or whether it's a problem with the installer itself.

Did you ever get a useful answer to this? I've been having the same problem for days, despite my having previously been able to download and install the software (although it never worked properly, which is why I had to uninstall it)?
