If I Purchase Vive while I wait for Vive Pro, I'm Blowing $199, right?

Hello,

 

I would like to purchase a Vive Pro but see it's on backorder. I see the Vive Pro kit will sell for $1099, so it's $300 to get (2) controllers and (2) base stations.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, if I buy the regular Vive now for $499, that comes with (2) controllers and (2) base stations? So then if I get the Vive pro for $799 when it ships that's $1298 total.

 

So in that scenario I'm bascially blowing $199 to have something to play with right away. Or looking at it another way, I'm getting a Vive for only $199 which could be used on another computer for games that don't require motion controllers?

 

I want to make sure I'm not missing anything before I make the purchase.

I guess you could always try to sell just the Original Vive headset for $200? There's always people who need that part only.
