Mad626rad
I've tried all the different ways to fix this. -usb 3.0 to 2.0 -swap the base station's letters -connect the base stations with the cord -bypass the linkbox -updated firmware -covered up anything reflective -uninstalled/reinstalled usb drivers -turn off 2.4ghz band from my router (it's the only 2.4ghz tech running in my apartment) -graphics card drivers updated -removed asus AI suite of programs The only way I get head tracking to work, is to power cycle until it just decides to come on for anywhere from a few seconds to about 3 minutes. I am however running the z170-a mobo, but at this point I've seen and known plenty of people that have gotten it to work on their system. Also running i7-6700k, 1080ti, 16 gb ddr4 ram. DUST
According to some quick googlefu around your board it would seem a possible solution lies in removing any overclock/XMP profile applied to your RAM. A number of users report that downclocking their ram to 2133Mhz has resolved similiar issues you experience.
Mad626rad
Strangely enough, after 4-5 hours of troubleshooting, I had not seen someone say to down clock RAM, clearly your googlefu is stronger than my own! Thanks!
