Driver error

, as  said - If after running through all other troubleshooting steps and you still see this type of driver error than it may be a defective HMD (or could in some cases indicate that the HMD 3-in-1 cable is not fully plugged in on the HMD side). 

 

Generally speaking, you should first try to remove all SteamVR drivers from within SteamVR, unplug the HMD, reboot the PC, and plug them back in to reinstall the driverset.
