Another solution for PCs rebooting after blue- or blackscreen when starting steam vr

I had massive trouble installing and setting up the Vive software or starting a VR-app (on a PC with Asus WS X299 Sage mainboard, Titan XP graphics card, latest version of Windows 10). No possible solutions (USB2 instead of USB3, different version of graphics card driver) mentioned in other threads worked for me. It was purely by chance that I found something that helped: Starting Vive dashboard first, and second Steam/SteamVR. The other way round Windows crashed. I can live with this workaround.
