Can't control anything in VivePort?

I uninstalled the Vive software and reinstalled because the "Vive" icon was not being displayed in the dashboard.  This fixed the issue with "Vive" not being there, however when I selected "Vive" then "Viveport" it loaded the Viveport app just fine.

 

Then I'm in the middle of a room with 3 options (Library, Settings, and I think something else).  There is nothing else displayed, and I can't choose anything with my controllers (they just act like they can do nothing).  If I turn around, when I point a controller toward the exit, it allows me to jump back to the vive center area and acts normally.

 

However when I go back into Viveport, same thing.  Only the three options and can't select anything.

Any ideas?

Same here.  I've tried reinstalling 3 times and still can't select anything.
