TomCgcmfc
Update; Today's SteamVR beta update 1.10.19 seems to sorted out my Vive Pro audio problems. I did notice a SteamVR firmware update (sorry I cannot remember seeing what device it was for) when I started this up. After this I did a complete shutdown/restart and it now seems to be working fine. I hope it stays that way for a while!
Blindseer
I just had this problem for the first time with my Vive Pro. The solution for me was to go to control panel->sound It had set my sound blaster to the default communications device. I switched that to the vive pro and the distortion was gone. PhantomsGhost
So I wanted to drop the solution I had when this occurred for me in case others run into the issue and stumble across this thread. Under the Windows Control Panel and Sound settings where audio devices are managed, test the different bitrates, ie for my VIve Pro 2, its 24bit 44100 hz.
