I can't launch a subscription game from Vive home, but can do so from SteamVR home

The subscription games appear in both vive home and steamvr home (the latter without images) but while they will launch successfully from streamvr home, from vive home they briefly say loading, but never do. The little steamvr window, which was open before the attempted launch, disappears as well. No error messages are displayed on the PC, and nothing is written to the event log.

 

P.S. I have a Vive Pro kit with 2.0 tracking, running Windows 10.
