Synthesis Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 We'll need to know a bit more about your VR room and what sort of troubles you're having. Pictures would also help.Thank you, -John C
HackPerception Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Other info that's helpful: -Are you using a sync cable (w/ chan A+B)? -Distance between basestations -Any reflective or chome objects in the environment? -The height they're mounted at -Any SteamVR error codes or messages? -Does tracking break in a certain part of the room or while facing a specific direction -Is the behavior random or do you see a pattern?
HackPerception Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 . You just click "reply" to open up the reply UI (not the "quick reply" option and then there is a photo tool that's highlighted below in yellow.
HackPerception Posted October 24, 2018 Posted October 24, 2018 , My immediate suspicion is reflections from either the trophies or the lighting fixture. Think of the Vive as if it were a vampire - it doesn't like reflections or sunlight. I would start off with removing the trophies temporarily and covering the lighting fixture and then testing if the tracking is still wonky; if it clears up, than it's certainly a reflection issue.
Moverplus Posted October 24, 2018 Author Posted October 24, 2018 I will try that suggestion and get back with you
