gdrav99 Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 Hi all hoping someone can assist. I have tried multiple times to install viveport desktop, and it fails every time. I've uninstalled/reinstalled both steam and vive applications, ensured they are both residing on c: drive, yet every time i attempt to install the viveport app, I get the following error: When I try to either point to this location, or copy the msi over to another directory, I get the following: Can someone please assist? this is driving me nuts!!!! Thanks, -gdrav99 BTW - this was working until about July, so the machine i'm on does run VR with no issues.
Synthesis Posted November 20, 2018 Posted November 20, 2018 Check and make sure you're running as an administrator and your firewall/anti-virus isn't shutting it down. I think that it's trying to use a network resource is a clue. You might also want to make sure you don't have a network drive set up that it's pointing to.Thank you, -John C
