Today i connected it to my workstation having 128 GB RAM, Quadro M4000 GPU and Win10. I tried to see a demo of google earth in it. Sound is coming fine in headphones but i see only continuous grey screen in both eyes of headset although display is ok in computer screen(mirror display). HackPerception Posted December 11, 2018 Share Posted December 11, 2018 , You cannot operate a Vive desktop HMD without at least 1 basestation. Vive desktop HMDs are dependent on SteamVR tracking technology and will only display a grey screen if it is not able to see at least 1 base station.
