paul
I am having trouble with the controller of a vive focus. It is continually drifting. I tried changing the batteries. Has anyone any idea what the problem could be?
thealgo1234
Same issue here. This has happened since the last UI update in December. Have to constantly re-calibrate....

Tony PH Lin
Hi , , Could you let me know your ROM version from setting? Thanks.
paul
It says 1.4.12 in the bottom right corner of the settings. Is this the number you want?
thealgo1234
Rom version is 1.69.1405.1 and the version shown on the frontend UI is 1.4.12 The update to system version 5.0 some time ago was not the issue. Its only when the frontend UI system updated to 1.4.12 (some time in december) when the drifting issues started.
Tony PH Lin
Hi , It's like "Rom version is 1.69.1405.1" inside the setting page, and Viveport version shown on the frontend UI is 1.4.12. We do have FOTA around the end of Dec. last year. Could you check if the drift issue occur after this FOTA (the front UI is 1.4.12)? Or the drift issue exist for a while? Thanks. thealgo1234
Tried what you had mentioned. (e.g turn off both headset and controller. then to turn on controller, wave in a 8 shape 10 times, then to wait till controller turns off.. then to turn on headset and connect controller. This has fixed the issue (for me at least). no drift anymore
KDM
For what it's worth, this indeed fixed the exact same issue for me; Quote turn off both headset and controller. then to turn on controller, wave in a 8 shape 10 times, then to wait till controller turns off.. then to turn on headset and connect controller Edited December 12, 2019 by KDM
