Salü !

My place is between my bed and a mansard, no way I get the lighthouses somewhere... Can you actually play VR games(or none VR games) just with the headset ?

It's not possible. Lighthouses are tracking headset and controllers. If for some reason your headset is not being tracked it will automatically turns the screens grey and I believe that's intentional since if you're stuck with one frame (picture ) infront of your eyes even when you're moving your head around it will make you puke in less than 20 seconds :smileylol: I believe though you can run it with one base station while seated for race/flight sims where tilt your head no more than 180 degrees in any direction.

As long as it's not restricted from per game developers - sure. But I believe most seated VR apps features mouse/keyboards/gamepads/wheels/joysticks depending on the game.

Basically, developers hardcode the controlls into their app. If they've programed them to have keyboard and mouse support, then it will work - otherwise you can try to emulate/translate the input but that's usually pretty janky, especially with motion controls. SteamVR recently added greater additional support for translation. Most games that are seated will be designed around the Rift and thus use an Xbox controller - I can only think of a tiny handful of apps that have keyboard and mouse support (<10 i.e. Hellblade) - it's really not a good way to interact within VR.
