theoholloway
I'm using 3DSP ForUnity v1.0.0, and I'm _pretty_ sure that I get the correct spatialization when I use FuMa (b-format) ordered files, not ambiX ones as per the manual. Have I done something thick, or is this an oversight? Thanks!
Professor 3DSound
Hi theoholloway, The ambi-X format is adopted by VIVE 3DSP because it is the most widely used format in present days. The 4 channels in ambi-X is (W Y Z X), and in FuMa format, it is (W X Y Z). When using FuMa format in 3DSP ambisonic decoder, the wrong channel would be applied to the decoding parameter, thus the wrong decoding result would be generated. Therefore the spatialization is still working, but the output message would be wrong. Best regards, Prof. 3D Sound
