Power Management won't work with 2.0 USB

Hello, I have been using my vive plugged in a 3.0 usb since i bought it, but for some reason since last month I have been getting random usb disconnect/connect when i'm using my pc or playing with my vive.

 

I tried changing to a 2.0 usb,but when i do that the power management wont work and when i go to steamvr->configure-> base stations - > power management -> Managed base stations, my 2 base station have a yellow "!" warning saying they failed to connect.

 

I already tried removing all steamVR USB devices but it didnt work.
