Jakey Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 (edited) The sound/volume buttons on my vive pro aren't working (on left earphone). The mic on/off switch on the right earphone has no effect either. I can adjust the sound levels through the vive pro using the settings on the computer but not on the headset. Anyone? Edited April 23, 2020 by Jakey My on title
Jakey Posted April 24, 2020 Author Posted April 24, 2020 I've got an update on this. I restored a backup of my entire computer from January and guess what? All the buttons on my vive pro worked perfectly! Guess this proves it's a software issue. It would be helpful if people reading this who own a vive pro could check their sound control and mic buttons, confirming if they work or not. Thanks.
Jakey Posted April 24, 2020 Author Posted April 24, 2020 (edited) I filmed the buttons working from January backup. I then restored my system back to current(today's) state with buttons not working. Saying this because I'll be contacting HTC for assistance, so they know it was me who posted this on this day. Edited April 24, 2020 by Jakey
Jakey Posted April 28, 2020 Author Posted April 28, 2020 No one that reads on this forum owns a vive pro? Would be great to get feedback if your buttons work on current software states?
HackPerception Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 This behavior is specific to SteamVR v1.11.11 which saw a significant audio systems update. It has been hotfixed in SteamVR V1.12.1 beta. The current workaround as of 27-April 2020 is to opt into the beta branch until Valve publishes their fix in the public branch. @Jakey 1
Jakey Posted April 29, 2020 Author Posted April 29, 2020 Great, that's reassuring to be told this. I'll wait for the public release of the software. 1
