jc10487
Hi all, Is there anyway to access the calibration data? Thanks
Corvus
@jc10487 What access are you interested in? The eye tracking SDK can provide a validity status and flag for if calibration is needed.
jc10487
@Corvus is it possible to acquire the fixation positions and eye positions from calibration? Edited September 14, 2020 by jc10487
Corvus
@jc10487 Currently there is no official access to further calibration data beyond what I mentioned in the last post. The gaze direction and eye position data is available after calibration if that is the information you need.
jc10487
@Corvus That's unfortunate. Thank you for your help, though.
adamsmitt
Hi there, how often should I do calibration? Thanks
Corvus
@adamsmitt For best accuracy (for example when doing research/training) ideally calibration would be done every time the user puts on the HMD (since every time it is placed and adjusted it can be a slightly different position). For other use cases (gaming or development) where eye tracking accuracy is less necessary I rarely have to calibrate unless switching users.
