Can I pair 2 new controllers when my other 2 controllers have run out?

I don't  know if anyone else can answer this, or if this is even the right place to post this.

Since I have 1 pair that run of power when my body trackers reach 50%, is it possible for me to pair another 2 controllers when they run out and then just put the controllers that've run out on charge?

So, I know the headset can only see 2 controllers at a time, but what if 2 run out and you pair 2?

Can anyone help?

@Zinkrodun Yes, that definitely works. It can get weird if you try to mix two different controller types.
