Any chance you been using other headsets such as Quest or pico?
They tend to trap me in their audio output, I had to disable them to get vive virtual audio back to normal.

I need to investigate further, but for now it seems that the problems are caused by different writing behaviour for shaders with both programs involved and on top the excessive logging behaviour of the Vive Console.
When i delete everything in (just skip when a file is in use, delete everything else):

it succeeds in 8/10 cases to successfully quit VR without a crash.
The problem is seemingly that Vive Console writes to one, SteamVR to the other shader cache and the shaders get corrupted for an unknown reason when quitting VR.You can try this without any harm, shader caches get rebuild anyways when starting a game.
These aren't my final results of the problem, but for me valid workaround to get some peace when using this otherwise really gread VR Headset.
Got a shortcut for this on my Stream Deck and i'm going to code a little tool for this.
When i can find more, i will share this here, if permitted. 🙂Just wondering, do you use the vive console on SteamVR or the vive one.

The website on VIVE did mark that : *VIVE XR Glasses require an alternate power source with 30W USB Power Delivery or above, such as an HTC USB (30W) Power Adapter
I guess you need to find something that can give up to 30W at leaset

I guess the only chance we can get more information on this is to join the discord on vive.
There's a specific channel for the ultimate tracker's beta, though most of us are just waiting for the release rn.

The best comfort "hack" I know of is buying the brand new Mixed Reality Face plate. I just got it yesterday and it is vastly more comfortable than the original VR Face gasket that it came with. I could probably wear the MR Face plate all day without an issue. It even works in glasses mode without the battery pack attached, and while it does seem like it could slip off your face without the battery support behind your head, it stays on fine for normal VR use. For MR use at my desk, I might just put an eye glass strap on the ear pieces so if it does slip it won't fall. My original face gasket never really stayed on properly. It magnetically attaches but it doesn't seem to click into anything. If the headset shifts up or down at all the original gasket slips off it's magnetic mounts. I really hope that they make a new VR gasket design based on the MR version. In the meantime, I might try and make a little shroud to fit around the MR gasket for more comfortable VR use.
For the original gasket, I saw a video they released. I managed to clip on my gasket with the tips they provided. Maybe go give it a try if you still want to use the original one.

What version are you in?
Did you try rebooting the device to let the battery firmware update again?

Are you using vive video app?
I was able to login youtube, but not sure if its because of the notification method setting seems to be different from yours? I was able to receive a mail to confirm sign in from google rather than receiving a login confirm from phone.

Yup!
Its a built in app in library, you can launch it directly and whenever you want. You will see the animation first then enter a place to select which tutorial you would like to check. Its the one on the left "headset comfort"
The animation can be skip by pulling the trigger anyways.

As for now, I found a place where you can launch the diopter adjustment. Its in the tutorial app and under headset comfort.

I think the best shot is to try what the guy mentioned, launch with Vive console for steamvr rather than steamvr first.

My last question is: when I used to do it by downloading the vive software setup from Vive website, naturally ViVEPORT was installed. I bought some games from there.
Now I can see that there is no VIVEPORT in steam. So I thought : all right , I will download Viveport as a standalone software. But... when I start to install Viveport , there is an information that the file will install all the VIVE software , so of course I stopped the installation to avoid my old problem with all the conflicts. How can I get my games from viveport now?

I download viveport with this and just skip the device setup part, then I got one pure viveport install with no conflict.

Have you updated SRruntime to 1.3.6.8? Its provided in Vive console beta but not VBS.

I saw this once for a while, I guess it was due to my weak internet connection,
but if I see it loading I switch to another tab(Setting or Profile) and then return to library, there's a chance to stop it from loading immediately.
Not sure what did the trick, but it wont forever loading if I switch back and forth the tabs.
Maybe give it a try if it can stop you from loading as well?

I'd tried to hide my controllers but did not get the passthrough be activated, only when I close both my controllers the pairing tab would show with passthrough?

Base on this thread, I guess you would need to first download vive console and switch to beta. Seems to be the SR runtime version needs to be updated to 1.3.6.8.
