I still see extreme tearing in 120Hz mode. This has been the last HTC thing I've bought and I'll be suggesting to everyone to avoid Vive like the plague.
-
If everything works fine, Vive console gets an update and the tearing returns, then don't tell my about other software. HTC has broken their software again and that's it.

if it used to work and now it doesn't, you probably installed or upgraded something.
rule number 1: when it works, I don't touch anything else! 🙂

The only two things which affect this are Nvidia drivers and Vive Console. Both of them should be possible to update without problems.

I can also confirm the tearing is back. Unfortunately, seems like this is the last HTC product I bought - how can an issue of such caliber be unfixed for so long. To make matters worse, it was working for a while and broke again.Â

@BVV.Fr have you tried moving your head around quickly? I still see tearing (not reprojection) in such scenarios.

For me the tearing looks just as before when it happens. It's far less frequent now. It may be reprojection, but not sure.

Unfortunately, I still experience tearing in 120Hz mode with 4090.

Just came here with the same problem with Vive Pro 2 and 4090. Unbelievable...
Nvidia has changed the render pipeline. Framedrops on Vive Pro 2+ RTX 4090.

It's not widely talked about because not many people buy Vive Pro.
