Trying to use VIVE Cosmos on laptop without DisplayPort

I bought a VIVE Cosmos 2 years ago for use with a desktop that I built (which had a DisplayPort). However, I had to buy a laptop as I moved and couldn't take my desktop with me (plus, it was time for an upgrade anyway). The new laptop does not have a DisplayPort. I (naively) bought a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter which obviously (after reading other posts) failed. I read another post here about checking if your USB-C ports are connected to your GPU (and if it is, buying a DisplayPort to USB-C adapter), so I did that and unfortunately my USB-C ports are not connected to it. I am currently at a loss as to what I can do to get my headset working so any help would be appreciated (info about my laptop is below).

Model: ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 UX582ZM

GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060

Ports: 1x USB 3, 2x USB C, 1x HDMI, 1x 3.5mm Audio
