Rinaun Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 Hi, Below is a picture of the issue I'm facing. I've tried USB dongles (USB 2.0 and 3.0) as well as reinstalling the USB drivers. Any advice would be great! The camera shows up in windows, but no video is shown.
HackPerception Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 , often this is most of a USB bandwidth issue but it can really vary by hardware. Are you able to trigger roomview at all? In some cases, it could also be related to CPU bottlenecking. When you say you've tried "USB dongles", what do you mean? A steamVR main branch update posted today which address some bugs associated with the Pro camera within SteamVR - this may or may not have an effect on your bug.
Rinaun Posted July 27, 2018 Author Posted July 27, 2018 Hi, Rig specs as below (dxdiag dump): https://pastebin.com/TisWDwMV Board specs: Chipset+ASMedia® USB 3.1 Gen 2 Controller: 1 x USB Type-C™ port on the back panel, with USB 3.1 Gen 2 support 1 x USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A port (red) on the back panel Chipset: 2 x USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports (red) on the back panel 6 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports (2 ports on the back panel, 4 ports available through the internal USB headers) 4 x USB 2.0/1.1 ports (available through the internal USB headers) CPU: 4 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports on the back panel I've tried: Detaching all active USB devices from both USB chipset/ports Using a USB 2.0 dongle on a 3.0/3.1 port (both/all chipsets) reinstalling SteamVR Beta builds Toggling between builds uninstalling current webcam None of these work! Let me know if you need any more diagnostic support. I know my Vive's camera worked fine and never had any issues aside from some tpcast issues that were apparent/well-known. Regards, Rinaun
