snape
Hi, I just bought the Vive Pro for my macbook pro which also has an eGPU Vega64 attached. I cant for the life of me find any setup instructions for the Mac, am I going mad? I assumed the Vive pro works on the Mac as I know the wifi controller doesn't work (so I assume everything else does). Can anyone point me in the right direction for the instructions please? Thanks Spencer
HackPerception
, Vive support on Apple hardware/MacOS is considered to be in "pre-developer"/"developer" status hence why you won't find any info about it - it's not yet officially supported. Apple and Valve are leading the push to bring support to MacOS and thus I don't have a ton of public input as they're managing the efforts amongst a closed group of developer partners. I can't speak to that specific eGPU - Apple has only recommended the Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Box. I know a handful of devs are using Blackmagic eGPUs but don't have details on how to make that work. The setup would be pretty much identical to the PC side setup except that you have to elect SteamVR to be in MacOS Beta branch.

HackPerception
, You'd go to Libary -> Tools; find SteamVR and right click it to go into it's properties and find the "betas" tab.
