Can't install HTC Vive Pro USB

After turning the link box on during step 4 of the installation process, "Connect the headset to the link box", it detects the Display Port but it doesn't detect the USB: there's a looping animation of three dots with the text "Detecting USB connection...". I get a Windows warning saying there was an error installing the USB driver. In Device Manager there's an "unknown USB" with a warning icon, showing "Error code 43".

I tried the following:

-Connecting the USB cable to different 3.0 USB ports (the blue ones).

-Uninstalling everything, rebooting, and installing again.

-Updating USB drivers (Windows says they are up-to-date and no update is required).

-Waiting for half an hour.

Nothing has worked so far. I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, thanks for your help. I unplugged all the HTC power and USB cables, downloaded USB Deview and removed all drivers that showed VendorID 28de and OBB4. Then I turned off the computer, unplugged it, plugged it back again (I read somehwere that this fixed it for someone) and turned it back on. I plugged the HTC and run the installer again.

The problem persists: Unknown USB, error code 43.
