I was able to login youtube, but not sure if its because of the notification method setting seems to be different from yours? I was able to receive a mail to confirm sign in from google rather than receiving a login confirm from phone.
the login method is base on google account setting I believe , and I don''t care if notification not sending is HTC issue or google isssue , but I'm sure the keyboard bug is HTC issue,
the vive video app is just a browser, don't know why they need do it twice , just update vive browser and make it better , not just copying opensource repo (it loook like wolvic to me) and replace the icon

still can't watch youtube VR content , and also can't login youtube , it did not send login confirm to Phone and you can't use security code because the keyboard not showup when number input focused,
also the keyboard not working well on youtube searchbar , if the searchbar got text in it , you need clear the text first so you can input new text , if clear text and input new text in keyboard textbox will not work
also the cursor on keyboard input textbox is always at begin of text, not the end , this is so unusual desgin
pls VIVE team , it's already been 6 month and you can't get basic features for an AIO VR device to work
I'm so frustrated with this device and just about to get rid of it, I don't even think I can sell it for 300$ , even quest 2 better than this

last time I saw the "did not disconnect image" I thought that means "do not connect battery" so I unplugged it , you may want to add some text descriptions!

same here , The battery cradle does not appear to charge anymore. There is no red light on the cradle when plugged into USB-C PD
and the capacity show in VR is 50% and I play games for about 10 min it still show 50%

tried new 2D app feature, it's better but we need more impove
feature requests:
1. back button , some app like 巴哈姆特動畫瘋 can't work without bank button, please add one or binding to controller
2. now we can position app but can't move up/down vertically , you may check how Vitrual desktop re-positon UI works
3.option to disable or change home environment to save hardware resouces
bugs:
1. if you use fullscreen function in app , it will go into landscape mode , but curve button missing , can't switch between curve and flat mode

maybe can consider add an thirdparty (or google play) app store for user install 2d app , this 2D app feature really solve a lot issue , it's not easy to find a android that still support miracast nowdays
will try netflix and disney+ later , hope this two works without google services

@Alex_HTC I Try use Downloder to check, seems it did provide 360 metata (or not ,maybe just youtube streaming list has that info), I think the problem is wolvic report something (maybe user agent? or resolution?) let youtube think wolvic did not support VR content and high res streaming
and quality above 2K only avalible in WEBP container and VP9 encoding (software display MKV , but actually it's WEBP) , is wolvic support WEBP / VP9 ?

@Alex_HTC Use latest wolvic , still same, cloud you please try the link I post , it's just a usual VR180 video (tagged by youtube as VR180) , but no VR and streaming quality capped at 720P
is this not fixedable by HTC like DBArtist said?

how to play youtube VR180 video on browser? like this one, full screen just open 2D screen and only 720p , but on PC you can select 4K60 and can move camera via mouse drag
try a lot videos on Youtube , seems only VR360 can work with vive browser

the 2 happened on me as well , it feel like the arm choked blood vessel on my head, I literally stop using XRE before I made the mod

If you don't power off the controller (long press the menu button), they will connect automatically when you move it or touch any button,
So why does this dialog show up every time the HMD wakes up, it just stop me from entering VR
And also you have handtracking built-in as well,
Please consider removing that dialog, or at least provide an option to disable it -

need this too, I use pixel phone as well , and for now only few brand still has miracast support
but I think this is not possible
this is not something you can make in house, (refer the comments: https://stackoverflow.com/a/18035765)
you need work with google to make this happen , I doubt HTC will do that just for one device

but this is fast draw and depends on your head and how many you installed it may got some sharp edge close to your ears I recommand 3 for each side , if use 4 you need sand it a bit
and on the side that has cable clip , you need install from bigger side and may scratch your glasses arm. use with caution

the content can't share here due to NSFW issue , but I did do some research for you guys,
it is left right 180 video
when use vive browser or wolvic browser , web xr player can play it normal in flat mode , but when I click enter fullscreen the environment turn all black only controller( like a laser pointer) still visible
next I do some developer shit to decrypt and download the HLS stream(for research reason) , then remux to mp4 , then use vitrual desktop video streaming , issue still there , all black
next I copy the mp4 file direct to MHD storage and use viveport video and it finally can play normally
so , I don't re-encode the video , just remux, and not add any metadata ,( ffmpeg -i video.ts -c copy video.mp4 )
now you may say "hey thats not my issue , my player is fine"
but,
first ,the site it self are legit and I have paid subscription , and sure it can play on quest.
second , I do try some other site and has same issue.
third , vitual desk top video streaming has same issue.
any cue?

while you use glasses mode for about 20~30min it start to make back head painful and develop deep indentation , because the contact area is too small
I have to use 3D print and silicon sheet to mod it
hope we can have official solution for this, don't tell me to use battery pack I'll just buy Q pro if I HAVE to use battery pack
is my head too big or you guys never test it long enough?

once you enter 180/ 360 mode , you stuck in pitch black environment , same as vitrual desk video player

Tried VD on XR Elite , HTC released it by accident accoding to VD dev ,now VD on VIVE has some bugs
but still .. outperform official streaming app by all aspect , lower streaming resolution but image clear than HTC streamer , on the DCS HUD clarity is way better than official streamer
NO CPU spike when lauch it , no coil wine

I finally got the headstrap streaming app to update. I needed to reset the headset, including going through all the setup again. Then instead of starting off with wifi streaming I plugged in my usb3 Link cable, selected do nothing, then started up the pc streaming app. Then I selected the usb connection option andn then tried updating and it updated the headset streaming app.
After all that, I can't say I noticed any difference. I did manage to go in and out of the Lobby a couple times without any problems, but eventually my PC hung again and I needed to do a hard restart by press/holding my PC power button.
I've still found it best to initially select SteamVR in the lobby and then select Steam and VivePort PCVR apps from the SeamVR void with library panel. Then use in-game options to quit or hit the left controller menu button to select stop the app.
Again, to stop streaming without hanging my PC I needed to do the same thing as before; hit the x button on the SteamVR popup to close VR and once it closed, to immediately hit the x button on the Streamer popup to stop/end it. Then I just hold the headset power button and select shutdown. All a lot more complicated to do but at least it doesn't hang my PC. Hopefully when Virtual Desktop is released this will make all this a lot easier. Plus it should give you more streaming options as well.
well , at least we can wait Vitrual Desktop release on vive store

typo in OP post, correct in this post and add some info
XR elite only let you recenter the HOME UI on X Y Z and YAW axis , but no ROLL and PITCH
so you can't put HOME UI on top or at angle
please consider make it work like quest 2
