Thanks for this post. Until HTC implement a better solution (eg different size pads) it certainly makes the glasses much more wearable.

For anyone who, like myself, doesn't have a strong enough WIFI, Ive tested it playing from STEAM over a cable. It does require activating a custom binding though.

I checked with Tech Support before buying and was told that my laptop's Thunderbolt 3 port which supplies 18W would be OK. It was only later that they started talking about 30W. To be fair I have not experienced any problems in streaming.

It certainly takes some patience and experimentation. I bought it specifically for glasses mode as I can no longer use my VIVE 1 or INDEX due to medical reasons. To get over the glasses pain issue I had to manufacture a head band to cushion it. An option to get alternate less 'grippy' arms as suggested by Calcanuck would be great. I have also had to create velcro fixings to hold the cable as the official streaming cable doesn't fit into the cable retainer on the glasses?! Shouldn't have to do these home made mods though! On the software side - I think issues are/ will be sorted out. The latest release is a good sstep forward. Finally on the issue of video, I am watching using BIGSCREEN BETA and the headset is fine.

I was told that the dev had requested that it not be on the site ftb. I also got tired of waiting and took a chance on the STEAM store. Haven't fully played it, but it seemed to work OK for the first few minutes.
