Vive Cosmos Elite works, but then displays only white, flashes back, then only white

My Vive Headset is only 3 days old.  The first day it worked great.  The 2nd day, some problems, and now the 3rd day, I can't hardly run it all before the headset displays only white.  The sound still works, and the tracking is fine because when I look at the monitor, it moves as I move the headset.  But put the headset back on, and it is only white.   

 

Sometimes when I touch the headset, it comes back, but only for 15-30 seconds, then white again.

 

Trying to get some support from HTC, but they are slow to respond to emails and Live Chat isn't open.

 

Suggestions?
