Help !!

My Vive Pro controller suddenly started having issues that were not turning on.
I tried connecting it via usb and it turns the orange lights and I can hear the connection sound with the pc but immediatly I can hear the DISCONNECTING sound, then it reconnects, and disconnects and so on. Tried different cables and usb 3.0, all the same results.

I tried to to do the firmware update and it failed and now I'm not sure if it is bricked or if this is the same issue as before.

I tried connecting it again and it turns the orange light, so I tried with the reset option and right now It is NOT disconnecting and it opened an explorer window called "CRP DISABLED" and I can see it has a firmware.bin file.

SO WHAT SHOULD I DO????

Is there any firmware.bin original file to get from HTC somewhere that might help here?
My other controller works, I was reading of other users that managed to get the firmware.bin from the working controller but I'm afraid of ruining the other that is working.

HELP??? not sure what could be the next step....

Can someone provide a valid Firmware.bin file for the Vive Pro Controller so I can replace the faulty one???

THANKS!

@Michelangel0 Try holding every single button down for 10 seconds (trackpad, steamvr button, system menu button, grip, and trigger - everything) - the LED should start flashing orange rapidly. While it's flashing orange rapidly, plug it into your PC with a MicroUSB data cable, and then open SteamVR. You should see the following screen immediately pop up which should allow SteamVR to flash the firmware.

That said - if the controller isn't turning on without being plugged in - there may be another problem (e.g. bad battery) that is messing things up.

SteamVR hosts all firmware locally at ...steamapps\common\SteamVR\tools\lighthouse\firmware\htc.

The controller ones are the vr_neo_vrc_ files.

I'm honestly not sure which one of the ones in that folder currently being distro'ed by SteamVR is the Vive Pro's - we super don't recommend manually pushing firmware to the device but rather using SteamVR's firmware tool.

I think the one ending in BD is first gen Vive controllers.

I'd deffo try the procedure I posted above first though

First of all thanks for the attention.

I tried the update but somehow it is always starting and get's stuck forever, and I have no way to close or cancel

So I just disconnect the "Bad controller" and I can retry doing all over again but I get the same results.

Note the image is showing 2 of 3 but now it is always saying 1 of 1 Tracking device update.

For the record I got the same process and managed to get a copy of the firmware.bin of the working controller.

Also I tried the update process and it goes smooth without issues and it happens in 2 seconds.

So now that I have a firmware.bin that I know it works, what can I do to finish the update properly?

I decided to check with the lighthouse console and clearly there is a corruption in the firmware.. may I use this tool instead of the normal SteamVR process that clearly fails everytime?

Hello?

Can you please tell me what is the command line to upgrade the firmware manually?
